Member Networks & Forums

Introduction to CanSIA’s Member Networks & Forums

CanSIA is placing strong emphasis on member relations, communications, policy and market development, and regulatory affairs. To that end, in 2015 we launched three CanSIA Member Networks. The networks comprise of professionals within our membership who identify themselves as having a shared area of interest based on their role and/or function in their company. Each network will help CanSIA distribute relevant information to the right people in member companies and organizations. When issues arise requiring the collaboration of a number of industry stakeholders, CanSIA will create ad-hoc Forums in which Network participants will be invited to join.

CanSIA’s Member Networks & Forums replace the previous Caucus/Working Group model and intend to:
  • Improve and sustain member engagement
  • Communicate CanSIA policy activities in effective, transparent manner
  • Allow for targeted communications
  • Optimize both CanSIA members and CanSIA Team time

On July 1, 2020, CanSIA and the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) united within the Canadian Renewable Energy Association to form one voice for wind energy, solar energy and energy storage in Canada. To explore the new multi-technology association, go to www.renewablesassociation.ca!
