CanSIA Member Forums

CanSIA Forums provide the opportunity for members to volunteer their time to work together to overcome challenges and seize opportunities to building a strong, sustainable solar market in Canada.

Forums make efficient use of our members’ time by remaining issues-focused and solutions-oriented and allow CanSIA to advocate on behalf of our members in a responsive and coordinated manner.

If you are interested in joining a Member Forum, login through the Members-Only Portal.

Any of the following criteria qualify an issue as requiring a Member Forum:
  • Issue has near-term implications for broader industry
  • Issue represents a near-term opportunity or challenge for CanSIA membership
  • CanSIA requires member collaboration and consensus to prepare an industry position on a policy or regulatory matter.
  • Forums will kick off with an invitation for Network participants to join an introductory call in which the objectives of the Forum will be proposed and agreed upon.

Based on the scope and objectives of each Forum, they will be carried out through a combination of conference calls, briefing meetings with external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory agencies), and consultations by email. As with working groups in the past, C1 and C2 level members will be eligible to chair a Forum.
