CanSIA membership continues to grow
OTTAWA June 29, 2010 – The Canadian Solar Industries Association is pleased to announce the addition of new Corporate 1 members to its ranks.
“CanSIA offers firms in Canada a strong voice for communicating the latest expertise in solar advances to governments and the public and that understanding has directly benefited members while helping CanSIA to grow,” said David Eisenbud, CanSIA Chair.
“Solar energy is the key to economic stimulus and our growing membership is proof of the possibilities that lie in our industry and the strides that have been made in the provinces, particularly Ontario,” said Elizabeth McDonald, CanSIA President.

Advanced Energy is a global leader in innovative power and control technologies for high-growth, thin-film manufacturing and solar power generation. DEGERenergie Germany is the global market leader in solar tracking systems, with more than 30,000 systems installed in 38 countries. In 2001, the German state of Baden-Württemberg presented its Inventor Award to the patented control module DEGERconecter: today, more than 57,000 units have been deployed worldwide.
International Power Canada, Inc.
International Power Canada (IPC) is the Canadian subsidiary of International Power PLC, a global power generation company with over 32,000 MW of power generating capacity in 21 counties around the globe. IPC is a renewable power developer, owner and operator-based in Toronto, Ontario, which takes wind and solar power projects from initial concept through testing and permitting to construction and operation. To date, IPC has brought nine projects totaling 180 megawatts to operation in Canada, of which eight projects (80 megawatts) are owned and operated by IPC. An additional three projects (totaling 75MW) are going to construction in 2010.
